Rosie + Bill Married | Lansing Capital Wedding Photographer |

I’m embarrassed to say that it’s been over a year since I’ve blogged, that’s ridiculous. It’s not because I haven’t photographed some gorgeous weddings over the last few years it’s honestly the time it takes to get a post ready to blog.  Back in 2013 I went back to work full time outside of the house so with working full time during the day and still shooting a lot of weddings a year my blog and social media posts really suffered. Not to mention I got pregnant in early 2014 so that threw another wrench into everything. But if you follow me on facebook, you can still see the things I’ve been working on over the last 2 years. These days I am only taking about 3-5 weddings a year and really the more I blog the more traffic I get, which in turn sends me more inquires and it’s so hard for me to say No! When I had my son in August 2014 I had photographed a wedding 3 days before I went into the hospital and 2 weeks after my c-section and another three on maternity leave!! So yeah it’s been a crazy two years. But I’m going to try hard to show some of the beautiful weddings I’ve photographed over the last two years.  Starting with Rosie and Bill.

I first meet Rosie in college at Michigan State University. She went to high school and was/is good friends with an old roommate of mine. So when she got engaged she contacted me to photograph her colorful, artful wedding. The colors were so bright and vibrant, and those flowers, wow holy flipping awesome! Rosie’s mom is a very talented artist and hand painted every place card frame, the cake, cake stand, art boards on every table, it was just fabulous. They were married at St. Mary’s Cathedral in downtown Lansing, just next to the Capital with their reception back at The University Club at Michigan State University.  It was fun being back on campus and exploring all of the places I loved as a student there. Enjoy this colorful summer wedding at the Capital!
