Featured | The Knot Michigan

You know you have made it as an actor when you win an Oscar, as a musician when you win Grammy and a football player when you win the Super Bowl.  And as a wedding photographer you know you have made it when you are featured in The Knot magazine. So basically I’ve won an Oscar!!!  EEEEKK! There are tons of wedding magazines, blogs, and resources for brides but the most popular and the one I used when planning my wedding was The Knot, so this makes this even more meaningful and special. Being a part of The Knot is a big honor and I am so excited to be a part of it.

It all started this past June while I was photographing Dan & Alexis’ wedding.  I was working on my laptop editing a few photos for their reception slideshow when I quickly checked my email. There was the usual junk but then this one email caught my eye, it was titled The Knot Michigan: Becky & Mike. The email went on to say that she came across my blog, what?!?! wait a minute, they found me! Yup it was true. Some how one of their editors came across my blog and found the fabulous wedding of Becky & Mike.  I couldn’t believe that the magazine and website that I had dreamed about being a part of since the day I got engaged wanted to publish my work in their magazine. Not only was one of my weddings featured but the Grand Haven Spring Lake Holiday Inn also used images from Stacia & Jared’s amazing Spring Lake wedding for their ad.

It’s been so hard to keep this a secret and I am so honored and excited to finally be able to share this with everyone. Thank you to The Knot for the feature and an even bigger thank you and congratulations to Becky & Mike for asking me to photograph their beautiful wedding. I am so happy that all of your hard work and planning is being shared with so many other brides!
